Together this supergroup makes driving, infectious music featuring lively improvisation and irresistible grooves. Since forming in 2018 they have lit up stages and dancers all over the country and beyond.  Expect a great danceable  mixture, expect harmony and complex interaction with the musicians, and expect surprises!

The Band: InTentCity

InTentCity

Betsy Richards Fiddle, vocals
Seth Richards Piano, bass
Graham Richards Guitar
David Richards Percussion

Hailing from Sandpoint, Idaho this phenomenal group of siblings has been delighting dancers from the east coast to Catalina Island.

We first met them in a music workshop at Wintergreen 2016 and got a taste when Betsy played Wintergreen 2017. Since then they got national exposure at Catapult 2017 and started touring nationwide. Their music is deft and danceable, steeped in tradition but not afraid of the future.

When they’re not playing they still liven up the event—they’re all terrific dancers. Come see what the excitement is all about!

Beth Molaro, Caller

Her workshops focus on the joy of dancing, both by building skills and practicing them. If you want to take part in spreading that joy her callers workshop is not to be missed.

Internationally renowned caller and teacher Beth Molaro’s uniquely musical style makes for smooth, flowing contras and high-energy squares that are as much a delight to listen to as to dance to.

Roy Curet, Caller/Sound

The veteran Montana musician, caller, and soundboard impresario will manage acoustical pleasure and teach with his customary wry sense of humor and deep understanding of dance forms. He plays fiddle with the Missoula-based Skippin’ a Groove and has delighted dancers all over the Pacific Northwest from both sides of the mixing board.

Note about FRAGRANCES (or lack thereof):
Many members of the dance community have sensitivities or allergies to fragrances. Even for those that don’t, the smell of perfumes can become unpleasantly powerful when dancing indoors with many people. Think of this as a sport. For the comfort and health of everyone, PLEASE DO NOT WEAR FRAGRANCES to Wintergreen. This includes perfume, aftershave, scented deodorant, hair and skin care products, and fabric softener. Fragrance-free soap and hand sanitizer will be provided.
