The BFS Concert Series
The Bozeman Folklore Society is proud to support live music, particularly acoustic music. We regularly present concerts featuring a variety of musical genres, including bluegrass, old-time, folk, country, and jazz, by both local and national artists.
The BFS Concert Series started way back in 1988. There as a hiatus from 1993 to 2002, but we have presented several concerts a year from 2002 to the present. We have presented these concerts in several different venues over the years; we are now presenting shows in the concert series in the Sanctuary at Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ. You might have attended one of our concerts in the Chris Boyd room at Pilgrim – they hosted us for many years! The Sanctuary has a nice sound system and is a nice setting for music. We also occasionally do a show at the Gallatin Labor Temple at 422 E. Mendenall in Bozeman. Previously, we had a partnership with the City of Bozeman’s Parks and Recreation Department to present concerts as part of their Pickin’ in the Parks series at the historic Story Mansion in Bozeman.
We invite you to join and become involved with our effort to continue to present live music and promote dancing in our community. Volunteers are needed, as well as your support to continue to share our love for all the richness in the folk traditions. For more information about concerts, contact Bob Wall at (406) 579-5169 or email him.
