Concert – Iona Fyfe

BFS is enthusiastic to host Iona Fyfe for a concert at the Gallatin Labor Temple in Bozeman on Tuesday, Aug. 4!

Aberdeenshire folksinger Iona Fyfe has become one of Scotland’s finest young ballad singers and has been described as ”one of the best Scotland has to offer.“ (Global-Music.de). She has toured throughout Europe, US,
Canada, and Australia, and she has performed with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra as part of the World Premiere of Disney Pixar‘ s “Brave In Concert” at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Iona is a fierce advocate for the official recognition of the Scots language and is a fine speaker of the Doric dialect. She has also been invited twice to be an Official International Showcase Performer at the Folk Alliance International conferences and has performed at iconic venues such as the Burren and Freight and Salvage. Iona was also recently elected
Rector at the University of Aberdeen.
