Wintergreen 2026
January 23-25, 2026
Urban Contra Dance Weekend in Bozeman, MT!

Wake Up Robin in trio form, featuring Noah VanNorstrand, Audrey Jaber, and Amy Englesburg. Dynamic, exciting musicians prone to wild flights of improvisation and impeccably danceable rhythm.

Hypergolic
Steve Marty on guitars and foot percussion with the endlessly inventive fiddle of Cade Fiddeman.
Callers

Washington-based Lindsey Dono is a serene and sunny caller for contra and other social dance. Passionate about the user experience, Lindsey leverages a background in cognitive science and a career in tech to continually hone teaching skills. When not at the mic, Lindsey can be found mentoring up-and-coming callers, geeking out over choreography, and working on dance floorcraft.

Christa Torrens
Christa Torrens is a Montana treasure, having called for local dances and the Bear Hug dance weekend as well as touring around the country. When she’s not calling or dancing, you can find her at work confronting ecological models with data, or at play in the beautiful Mountain West.
Sound
Sound by Pete Sellin and Evette Allison. This veteran team has been keeping live music sounding good for many years and, as dancers themselves, know what works in a hall.

In memorium
We’ll be celebrating the live and accomplishments of the Bozeman Folklore Society’s founding mother, Hallie Rugheimer. We’ll have artifacts from her adventurous life and a selection of her musical instrument collection available (courtesy of he Rugheimer family) in our silent auction.
